Yes, in fact is highly advised to wear smart casual or elegant outfits, avoiding tank tops, slippers, shorts or trainers for have a safe and guaranteed access inside the venues. Most places select their clientele and even if we usually have a priority access assured, we cannot force entry if denied by the security. 
Same applies for the behavior inside the bars: a respectful and decent approach is highly recommended and intoxicated guests can be denied access if the security decides so. For these situations, we are not responsible for refunds or complaints unless the organizer is responsible in any way for the final outcome.
